Poop on my shirt!

Joey started at 500ccs today, and had to be bumped up this afternoon to 700ccs. Daniel said that he was having some trouble yesterday.  His nurse thought that he sounded a little crackly in the bottom portion of his lungs. They ordered an x-ray and thought that his lungs were a little wetter looking than usual. Katelyn, the fellow, decided to give him a spot dose of lasex. This seemed to help him because by evening he tolerated a bath and all of the things and was saturating well. I asked to wean him to 600 to see if he would still saturate high, and he did. I wonder if it would help him to take lasex every third day?

His home medical equipment was delivered today so when we initially tried it, he desaturated into the 50s. I don't think they quite had his configurations figured out.  It's not a 1 to 1 comparison I hear, and they just have to figure it out and tinker with it until Joey tolerates it. Regardless, it was really scary watching him desat like that. Cody came by and tried it again with some new settings, and Joey did alright this time. The mask was too big for his face, but it fit him better than the mini me mask.  We will see how he does this evening.

I also got to crawl into Joey's bed this evening, and we had some face to face time (with a mask on of course). He seemed to be very calm and enjoyed his time. I think I had a few tears because I have never gotten to do that with him since he was born.  It was a really sweet moment for me.

Tonight was also bath night, and Joey decided to be funny and pooped into his towel, onto my shirt, and into my shoes.  I figured it was my turn since Daniel has been pooped on twice by him. Since I didn't have an extra t-shirt, I had to walk around with poop on my shirt!
Crawling in bed with my boy.

Little stinker after bath just waiting to poop on my shirt and shoes!!
