Oxygen Wean Continues

Today they took off the cpap mask from a peep of 5, skipped vapotherm, and went to two liters of blended oxygen. He’s still doing it right now! I’m surprised that they skipped the vapotherm step. Joey was really angry and gassy today. We gave him gas drops twice today. I hope the situation will resolve. Simple things like having gas can scare a parent of a medically complex child. You don’t know if it’s temporary or if there’s a bigger issue bubbling over.

I am praying that he will sustain his new oxygen wean.
