Discovering your Cuteness in your Mirror
I had to sneak in a few hours before Claire's volleyball games this afternoon. When I got there, Nurse Scarlett had you propped up on your boppy looking at yourself in the mirror. You were squealing with delight and moving your arms around. I think today was the day that you discovered how cute you were. It was such a precious sight to see. Claire's team played really well-so well that they made it to the championship in the gold bracket and they played a close second game. I think the score was 26-24. Claire had some great serves and hits.
Respiratory wise-I think you had a good day that they thought they could wean you from 550 to 400. I think you struggled with that huge of a jump, so the night nurse took you back to 500. Mary, your nurse, wants to give you some time to settle out with that first. I find it odd that I haven't had a chance to meet this nurse. Usually, your dad or I are there in the evening, but your dad has a confirmed cold. He actually went to the walk in clinic to rule out the flu. Thank goodness he does not have the flu. Because of the cold though, he will have to be away from you for at least 5 days. It's going to be so hard for him. I was unable to go back in the evening because Claire had a long day of volleyball play. I did have a couple of kind friends check on you to see how you were doing. I'm very thankful for all the people in your life. Because of this cold running around in my house, I'm a little hesitant of spending too much time with you. We also learned that Rowan has type A flu. He is quarantined at his dad's house, and tomorrow I am taking Claire to get her flu shot.
Some good things today-I believe you gained a lot of weight between yesterday and today.
