Today Joey is 3 Months!

Joey is 3 months old today! His sister made Christmas crack (this delicious salty, chocolate, toffee, and sweet dessert) to celebrate and Rowan made a 3 month old sign for him.  We are still working on weaning that Precedex, and it is still a challenge.  We have established that with Joey, we just have to take things a little slower, which is alright.  Joey had a little trouble with his heart rate being fast today, but the nurses attribute that to the weaning of Precedex and a combination of being anemic. They take a lot of blood in the hospital at a faster rate than a baby's body can make blood, so it's not surprising if a baby ends up anemic temporarily.  Joey's lungs look good today (maybe from all the crying yesterday), and he enjoyed your belly time. Joey also got to give his first Christmas presents to Truett and Amara today.  He gave Truett a couple of cars with a race track, which is perfect for Truett while spending time in Amara's room. Amara got the cutest Christmas booties and matching hair bows.  It's cute to see how much Truett enjoys visiting Joey's room.

We are weaning Precedex by 0.1 every 12 hours.
Respiratory: Going down on PS above peep by 1 every 12 hours with goal to be at 8 by AM.
Going up on sildenafil to goal of 3 kg per day.
