Love His Cries!

Today my dear Joey was so loud-and it was music to my ears.  Ever since Joey was born, his cries have been pretty weak but I’ve noticed within the last two days, you have had a very large opinion about what you don’t like. I love hearing your voice and it’s comforting to know that you are working your lungs to be heard and your new heart allows you the energy to keep on wailing. I like it when you wail! Today your blood pressure was still high, so they increased your dose, and we are still working on that precedex wean. They lowered one of your bipass peep settings to 6 from the 8 you were at yesterday-doing it by 1 but every 12 hours. We have to remind these docs to go slow for you! You loved your bouncer seat and sleeping on your stomach today. Your dad and I both got to hold you and it was oh so sweet. Our snuggle melted your crankiness away.
