Did I see you smile?

If I could summarize the last two days, it would be an aggressive Peep wean. They quickly moved Joey three levels of peep in a 24 hour period, and I’m paranoid that it might be too aggressive of a move. Joey is a very slow but steady mover, and I appreciate that so much about him. So far, he has been doing well, but I would like to err on the side of caution while weaning him from anything.  He has been rocking his peep weans, but what we do know about him and infants in general is that they can compensate for a long time for their weaknesses. They may not show their distress until days out. I hope the doctors are right and I’m wrong though, although Joey has surprised me before and continues to surprise me, so you never know what he is capable of today or tomorrow. I do know that his strength is beautiful. The past two days he spent the majority of his days asleep, but today he was wide eyed and playing. I even thought I caught him smiling!
